The 2014 Bonnaroo lineup is here, and this summer it’s really giving Coachella a run for its money as the year’s premiere festival. The trio of headliners for the Tennessee fest is hard to beat: Elton John, Kanye West and Jack White. This probably makes Elton the biggest legacy act to ever grace a festival, right? Maybe we’re forgetting someone from a past lineup, but it’s a pretty huge get. And he’s not the only wily veteran at the top of the bill. Lionel Richie, incomprehensibly, is performing. As for Kanye, there are two storylines. First, how will he translate his breathtaking Yeezus tour spectacle to a festival setting — will it be similar to his Governors Ball setup from last summer? And secondly, this is his first Roo appearance since his 2008 set for which he showed up roughly six hours late and got booed.
Other acts the Idolator crowd will be excited about: Skrillex, Frank Ocean, Wiz Khalifa, Disclosure, Zedd, (Ms.) Lauryn Hill, Janelle Monae, Chvrches, Capital Cities, Sam Smith, Pusha T, MS MR, Rudimental, and BANKS. More »
