It seems that wherever Chris Brown goes, trouble follows. His name has been all over the news lately, and not for good reasons.
Back in 2009 Brown and Rihanna had a verbal fight in the car together which resulted in Brown throwing punches. Ever since then, there appears to be a black cloud following him. He has feuds with Frank Ocean and Drake, recently crashed his car and blamed paparazzi, and apparently still can’t decide between Rihanna and Karrueche Tran.
Brown and Ocean recently brawled outside of a Los Angeles recording studio over a parking spot; however their feud is far from new, starting back in 2011 via twitter. Ocean is not pressing charges.
Brown and Drake are suing each other over their brawl at a New York City nightclub back in June. A French model was injured during this fight. According to TMZ, Drake and Brown each claim they were not responsible for the fight and want the other to pay any damages in the event the model wins his suit.
Drake was recently turned down at the doors of the Hollywood club, Playhouse, because Brown was already inside.
In the case of Rihanna, she continues to stand by her man. Not only does she stick up for him, she also attended his court hearing regarding his violation of probation due to his assaulting her. As Rihanna continues to stay faithful, the same can’t be said for Brown. Brown had Tran on his arm while attending the Topshop Topman event in LA, even though he and Rihanna were snuggled up at the Grammys the week before.
With all of the controversy following Brown, his new music reminisces on simpler times. In the chorus of his new song, Home, Brown sings, “I wish I could go back to when I was young, wish I could go back (go back, go back) to where I came from.” Do you think Chris is regretting the path he’s taken?
Do you think Rihanna should move on from Chris? Is it even our place to comment on their relationship at all?
From Russell Brand to John Mayer, do you ever wonder what goes through Katy Perry’s mind when she decides who to date? It is no secret that most girls like “bad boys” but what about these men attracts Katy to them?
Brand and Perry were married for only 14 months before they decided to get divorced. In an interview with Australia’s 60 minutes, Brand said, “Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t.” “But if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.”
Perry first began dating Mayer back in June and they took a break in August before getting back together. “For the first time in my life I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship,” Mayer told CBS Sunday Morning. “It’s hard to explain … For me it feels like something that’s very human.”
With the reputation Brand has, even he has something to say about Katy now dating John Mayer. In an interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, Stern asked Brand, “Doesn’t she know that he’s a worse womanizer than you?”
“You have to let go of the instinct to protect someone once you divorce them,” said Brand.
Do you think that wedding bells are in Katy and John’s future, or do you think it will end in heartbreak? Is John the bad boy type that Katy’s attracted to, or is he a changed man thanks to her?

2011- The Black Eyed Peas
2010- The Who
2009- Bruce Springsteen
Number five – The Who. The Who were not bad under any circumstance, but compared to the rest of the list their performance was not up to par. They did not have as much energy as the rest of the artists and were somewhat forgettable.
Number four on the list is Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen did a remarkable job drawing in the audience at the beginning of his performance. He sang exceptionally and the crowd looked like they were having the time of their lives.
Number three surprisingly goes to The Black Eyed Peas. Their set was creative and energetic. The use of dancers and stage lights was entertaining and fun. Special guests Usher and Slash also helped this performance come in at number 3.
Number two is Madonna. She showed that she still had what it takes to be an amazing performer. The performance showed the full Madonna as she sang old and new hits. Her special guests LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, and Cee Lo Green completed the show and put it over the top.
And the best goes to Beyonce. Not only did she prove her talent during this performance, but she lived up to her “Queen B” nickname. The set was incredible and a big moment came when rumors were confirmed and Destiny’s Child (Kelly Rowland & Michelle Williams) reunited on the stage.
How would you rank the last five performances? Who would you like to see perform at next years Super Bowl and years to come?
Hannah is a 2-3 month old pit mix pup (although a REALLY small one) available for adoption at the Grand Strand Humane Society. Plenty of “play” in her tank, and she’s got a serious curiosity streak in her, too. Too cute and very playful. Go by and see her or her kennel or kitty mates at the Grand Strand Humane Society during their normal business hours. For more information, visit their website here!
With Justin Timberlake’s new single ‘Suit & Tie’ out, and news of New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees and Boys II Men teaming up for a package tour, do you ever wonder where your other favorite pop starts from the 90’s and 2000’s are today? What do these comebacks mean for the newer pop stars in the industry now?
The Backstreet Boys have six albums and have won over 70 awards from 1995-2010. All five of the Backstreet Boys are back together again after Kevin Richardson left the band in 2006 to pursue other interests. According to The Huffington Post, Richardson told ‘GMA’ that 2013 was going to be a big year for them.
Hanson shot to the top of the charts in 1997 with their hit ‘MMMbop’ and has released five albums since then. They have sold millions of records and launched their own record company, 3CG Records in 2003. According to Hanson’s website, they are back in the studio and working towards releasing an album mid 2013. Who is excited for that? No, seriously, who is excited for that?
The Spice Girls reunited to sing at the summer 2012 Olympic Games and there are rumors of Destiny’s Child reuniting at the Super Bowl; although they are unconfirmed. We can see that bands are making a comeback, but what about the solo artists?
Jesse McCartney shows off his acting skills as he joins the new season of Army Wives, and according to E Online he is set to guest star on an episode of Ben and Kate in February. Aaron Carter, BSB Nick’s little brother, is going on tour starting in February 2013. Check out his website http://aaroncarternow.com/ to see the full list of dates!
Avril Lavigne is also coming out with new music per her tweet: “New music ready very soon. Thanks for being so supportive and patient. I’m doing my best in every way. Thanks xo,” said Lavigne.
Do you think Carter’s tour and Lavigne’s new music will thrust them back to stardom? Or are they just last desperate attempts to keep their fame alive while making some money?
Then there’s this…having seen comeback success and failure, do you think artists such as Justin Bieber, members of One Direction and The Wanted have what it takes to have continued success for years to come?
Controversy surrounds Beyonce; rumors spread about her performance at the Inauguration, and the question remains: did she sing The National Anthem live or was the performance pre-recorded? Some are outraged at the thought that this performance may have been taped, but honestly is this really as big a deal as people are making it out to be?
There are certain scenarios where a singer needs to pre-record their song. We know that Beyonce can sing; she has an amazing voice. Is it possible this performance was just recorded to assure it went smoothly? When Jon Stewart interviewed Jennifer Lopez on The Daily Show last Tuesday, he asked for her reaction, from a performer’s point of view…
“Sometimes it happens, when you’re in certain stadiums and certain venues, they do pre-record things, because you’re gonna have that terrible slap back,” Lopez said.
There are still those who claim Beyonce did in fact sing live, with evidence to prove it. Ian Shepard is a veteran recording engineer who broke down the evidence…
“She’s so good that her pre-recorded and live vocal are almost identical,” Shepard said. “That’s why it’s so hard to figure out and that’s why you look for quirks or technical issues.”
But what if it was taped? Would it be worse if she sang live and the slap back affected her and she performed badly? Which scenario was preferable?
