Also, The American Red Cross and Goodwill have set up their command center for accepting donations in the X-Gym, across from the Beach Church on George Bishop Parkway. They are accepting all donations collected at other Goodwill locations throughout Horry County and those collecting at businesses working to help the victims. YOU CAN BRING DONATIONS DIRECTLY TO THIS LOCATION.

Will The Trouble Ever Stop For Chris Brown?

MiannaIt seems that wherever Chris Brown goes, trouble follows. His name has been all over the news lately, and not for good reasons.
Back in 2009 Brown and Rihanna had a verbal fight in the car together which resulted in Brown throwing punches. Ever since then, there appears to be a black cloud following him. He has feuds with Frank Ocean and Drake, recently crashed his car and blamed paparazzi, and apparently still can’t decide between Rihanna and Karrueche Tran.

Brown and Ocean recently brawled outside of a Los Angeles recording studio over a parking spot; however their feud is far from new, starting back in 2011 via twitter. Ocean is not pressing charges.

Brown and Drake are suing each other over their brawl at a New York City nightclub back in June. A French model was injured during this fight. According to TMZ, Drake and Brown each claim they were not responsible for the fight and want the other to pay any damages in the event the model wins his suit.

Drake was recently turned down at the doors of the Hollywood club, Playhouse, because Brown was already inside.

In the case of Rihanna, she continues to stand by her man. Not only does she stick up for him, she also attended his court hearing regarding his violation of probation due to his assaulting her. As Rihanna continues to stay faithful, the same can’t be said for Brown. Brown had Tran on his arm while attending the Topshop Topman event in LA, even though he and Rihanna were snuggled up at the Grammys the week before.

With all of the controversy following Brown, his new music reminisces on simpler times. In the chorus of his new song, Home, Brown sings, “I wish I could go back to when I was young, wish I could go back (go back, go back) to where I came from.” Do you think Chris is regretting the path he’s taken?

Do you think Rihanna should move on from Chris? Is it even our place to comment on their relationship at all?

Is Katy Perry’s Love Life Doomed To Repeat Itself?

MiannaFrom Russell Brand to John Mayer, do you ever wonder what goes through Katy Perry’s mind when she decides who to date?   It is no secret that most girls like “bad boys” but what about these men attracts Katy to them?

Brand and Perry were married for only 14 months before they decided to get divorced.   In an interview with Australia’s 60 minutes, Brand said, “Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t.” “But if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.”

Perry first began dating Mayer back in June and they took a break in August before getting back together.  “For the first time in my life I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship,” Mayer told CBS Sunday Morning. “It’s hard to explain … For me it feels like something that’s very human.”

KPJMWith the reputation Brand has, even he has something to say about Katy now dating John Mayer.   In an interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, Stern asked Brand, “Doesn’t she know that he’s a worse womanizer than you?”

“You have to let go of the instinct to protect someone once you divorce them,” said Brand.

Do you think that wedding bells are in Katy and John’s future, or do you think it will end in heartbreak? Is John the bad boy type that Katy’s attracted to, or is he a changed man thanks to her?

Rating The Last Five Super Bowls

MiannaFresh off the heels of Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance, lets take a look back at the last five to see who was the best, and who was the worst.

2013-Beyonce

2012-Madonna

2011- The Black Eyed Peas

2010- The Who

2009- Bruce Springsteen

Number five – The Who. The Who were not bad under any circumstance, but compared to the rest of the list their performance was not up to par. They did not have as much energy as the rest of the artists and were somewhat forgettable.

Number four on the list is Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen did a remarkable job drawing in the audience at the beginning of his performance. He sang exceptionally and the crowd looked like they were having the time of their lives.

Number three surprisingly goes to The Black Eyed Peas. Their set was creative and energetic. The use of dancers and stage lights was entertaining and fun. Special guests Usher and Slash also helped this performance come in at number 3.

Number two is Madonna. She showed that she still had what it takes to be an amazing performer. The performance showed the full Madonna as she sang old and new hits. Her special guests LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, and Cee Lo Green completed the show and put it over the top.

And the best goes to Beyonce. Not only did she prove her talent during this performance, but she lived up to her “Queen B” nickname. The set was incredible and a big moment came when rumors were confirmed and Destiny’s Child (Kelly Rowland & Michelle Williams) reunited on the stage.

How would you rank the last five performances? Who would you like to see perform at next years Super Bowl and years to come?

Hannah – This Week’s Adoptable Pooch from The Grand Strand Humane Society

HannahHannah is a 2-3 month old pit mix pup (although a REALLY small one) available for adoption at the Grand Strand Humane Society.  Plenty of “play” in her tank, and she’s got a serious curiosity streak in her, too.  Too cute and very playful.  Go by and see her or her kennel or kitty mates at the Grand Strand Humane Society during their normal business hours.   For more information, visit their website here!
