Katy Perry’s “Part Of Me” Tops ‘Billboard’ Hot 100

Someone finally overthrew Adele’s reign at the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100, and that someone is no stranger to topping the charts. Katy Perry’s new single “Part Of Me”, fresh off her performance of the tune at The Grammys, is now her seventh #1 single. However, “Part Of Me” doesn’t count as a single from Teenage Dream as it’s off the re-release of her hit LP, so Katy remains tied with Michael Jackson’s record for producing the most #1 singles off one album with five. (Sorry, Katy.) More »

Chris Brown And Wrestler CM Punk Launch Twitter War

Honestly, it’s time Chris Brown gave up Twitter once and for all, because his actions on the social networking site continues to dig his professional grave deeper and deeper; or as my Dad would say, his “battleship mouth” is putting his “rowboat rear” in an unwinnable war.   There were those homophobic remarks, then his Grammy boast used to diss his haters, and now the singer-dancer-controversy-seeker is in the middle of a Twitter fight with professional wrestler CM Punk. The BRIT Awards 2012: Adele Wins Two Awards, Then Flips The Bird

The 2012 BRIT Awards are underway, and so far in the ceremony, Adele is (unsurprisingly) picking up some major awards – though she’s not receiving nearly the same kind of respect she had at The Grammys. The 21 songstress has won Best British Album and Best British Female Artist, and threw up her middle finger when her speech was cut short. “It was for the suits, not for my fans. Sorry if I offended you,” assured the singer. Way to piss off the artist you just named as one of Britain’s best, chaps. While you grumble about Adele’s too-short speech, watch her perform “Rolling In The Deep” below. More »

Nicki Minaj Is Feeling Blue For ‘Vogue’

First Katy Perry’s hair turned blue, and now Nicki Minaj’s skin has gone turquoise. In a new photo shoot for Vogue, Minaj looks every bit a bombshell, even with a complexion that seems inspired by one of the extras from Beetlejuice. In her brief interview with the fashion mag, the rapper/pop star imagines an alternate life for herself. “A huge part of me wanted to be a lawyer! I would do a really good job as a prosecutor,” says the “Roman Holiday” performer. Would you trust Nicki representing you in a court of law? [Via Vogue]

We’re guessing that fun. have been having much, um, fun watching the success of their Janelle Monae-featuring breakout single “We Are Young”. It then soared into the upper reaches of the iTunes chart after being featured in a Chevy Sonic commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. The MTV Woodie-nominated trio finally gave their debut TV performance of the song last night on Conan, complete with sassy pre-teen choir in tow. Have fun. by watching below. More »

'The Voice' Closes In On 'American Idol'

We're a little biased here, but here goes: "American Idol" is dead and "The Voice" killed it! We're kidding! But NBC's reality singing competition is putting up quite a fight against "Idol," matching FOX's long-running hit in the key 18-49 demographic and coming within spitting distance of the once untouchable juggernaut in overall ratings. Adele Lives In A Very Big House With A Helicopter Landing Pad

What an awfully big house you have, Adele! One of the things we love so much about Adele is that she seems like a down-to-earth girl you'd like to go to the bar pub with for a few drinks. She's neither pretentious nor exhausting and seems like an all-around normal person. But there's one element [...]… More »

Adele’s ‘21′ Turns One: We Celebrate Her Amazing Year (PHOTOS)

When Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" first came barreling through our car radios in late 2010, no one — not even the pop star herself — could have expected that her then-upcoming album 21 would set fire to the pop world quite like it did. Exactly one year after its release, the 23-year-old's album has sold over 7 million copies in the US alone. In its 52 weeks on Billboa… More »

We’d much rather see the R&B star’s gorgeous face than two rings that look liked abnormal growth… More »
