Got to talk with Peg Howell, founder of S.O.D.A., which stands for "Stop Offshore Drilling in the Atlantic." She's the first woman to work on an offshore "drill" rig, having lived for many years on and off the Louisiana coast. She recently penned an op/ed in the South Strand News discussing the importance of awareness and citizen input before the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) deadline for commentary regarding the potential for seismic testing - and potentially offhshore oil drilling - just off our coast.
