Anne Hathaway encountered an awkward moment amid press for her recently released film, "The Idea of You," during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" on Monday (April 29).

"The Princess Diaries" alum revealed that she was playing a trivia game with her husband Adam Shulman, and their two young sons, Jonathan and Jack when she missed a question about "The Devil Wears Prada." Hathaway shared that she doesn't really go back and watch her old films too often, but is very pleased with how well they've done. Fallon transitioned into a conversation about "The Idea of You" complimenting the apparent on-screen chemistry that the actress had with co-star Nick Galitzine. The beloved actress started to tell the tale of their first chemistry read and soon became embarrassed by the audience's response, or lack thereof.

"I actually burst out laughing when he walked in because... Has anybody here read the book," Hathaway inquired of the audience who replied with sheer silence. The actress donned a surprise look and then immediately began to laugh. She was soon joined by Fallon who joked, "No we don't read. This is 'The Tonight Show.' You want to go over to Stephen Colbert if you want people who read books. We don't read. Lame. We do Audible here!"

Hathaway laughed the situation off, assuring that the book does have a "fan following somewhere." She proceeded to tell why Galitzine was the perfect person to be cast as Hayes Campbell for the film.

"The Idea of You" zooms in on Hathaway's character, Soléne, a single, 40-something mother who takes her daughter to Coachella and ends up falling in love with the 24-year-old lead singer of her daughter's favorite band (Galitzine's character). The long-awaited rom-com is finally available on Amazon Prime Video now!
